What was it like to put the suit back on?
Ha! I forgot how much I hated him.
Yes, it’s all about her. Shoes – hate shoes. I hate pants. I hate the jacket. I hate the jacket. I hate beard. Hair that I don’t mind. the face. They have a face – not so much heat you put on it, and they’re much better at it, which I didn’t think possible… Colonel Tom Parker, my good friend Woody, or as you guys call him Tom HanksHe and I were showing each other pictures. Tom Parker [Hanks’ character in Elvis], that was a lot of make-up. But when you don’t have a beard, it has to be perfect. I think he said he was there three or four hours? And the Michael Dornanother friend of mine, is Worf [from Star Trek]. He’s doing something new – and it’s been a long time coming.

I have some good comrades on this. They downloaded this. They said they made it to 2 hours. Nobody believed they did it and it looks amazing. It is not permanent. I’m not at 100 percent for nine hours.
I’m learning how to set boundaries so I don’t upset people, because once I’m in it, I don’t have much to say to anyone. Once I do something, I have to go find a chair. And they have a little place for me to sit and not say anything to anyone. I’m just kind of musing because I’m hot. I’m getting so hot in that suit! They have a cooler thing that really works, but then you have to screw it on and take it off. All that being said, I prefer this fourth time around because I know what I’m getting myself into.
I knew what to expect. the last Santa Clause The movie came out in 2006. Do you think you’ll play this character again?
no! of course not. I won’t do that again, I’m getting out of there [singing] “do not do this again. “And I know Disney, I know the powers that be, and some people have been very good to me The last steadfast men When we moved from Disney to the 20th [Century Fox] And now Disney has bought twenty. So we brought in great people who were very good with me creatively and put on their shows. He said, “Are you interested?”
I said, “What a strange idea. A movie?”
“Okay, TV show.”
“TV show, but a movie that gets you excited,” but you know, it’s kind of a TV show financially.
And I said, “Well…”
It took a while to be able to do that…so I put together a team with their help. “How about this?” said writer Jack Burdette after a hard day’s work. I listed some of my thoughts and some of my concerns. I’m really good at plot, [but] The dialogue isn’t much, and they get it. That first episode, you watch it or watch a copy of it, and you set everything up, and that’s just one long movie to me. Six hour movie. I don’t see them as loops. I see them as chapters in a book. So the book chapter ends. She has no evidence in the following. Sometimes that happens. Sometimes it doesn’t. It all made it work. Then you throw all of this in.
We see other characters. Originally we had the legendary characters, a lot of ex-actors, and in the end, there’s not much you can do. And my child, my youngest daughter [Elizabeth Allen-Dick] Tested for elf. I just wanted it to be, as my entire Christmas gift family’, ‘Look, Elizabeth is one of the elves in that one scene,’ and I read some difficult scenes just to test. I had nothing to do with it except that I made her there to be a dwarf, and so my baby is in her. She plays a 13-year-old. Sandra Klaus was played by my younger self, who was 13 the day I started the movie. Many things were accidental.
What was it like to share a screen with her and work with her on this?
I don’t have words for that. It feels so natural when you are there. The fun thing was that every now and then she would meet Tim Allen as Santa Claus, not her father. And I was far from it. I’ll go, “I’m eating!” or “I need some time alone in my little locker area.” Then she said, “You’re not kidding, are you?” “No, I’m not kidding. I don’t want you here.”
She was able to give me space as an actor playing Santa Claus. And dad rarely appeared on the set. I said to her, “This is your way. You came here. You earned this. The better way is out of mine. Now, if you misbehave with the crew or show disrespect to anyone, your father will quickly show up.” And she didn’t. She was a great addition to this movie.

Have you given her any acting tips?
Patricia Richardsongeneration home improvement, She taught me a lot about listening: “Look into my eyes and listen to what I have to say.” She is an amazing actress. Fabulous. This was the first lesson [from her] And the late great Earl Hindman-Listen. Actors listen to respond. Don’t get into your head. Listen to what the other person has to say and always add value to everything you do. Just add something. They’ll tell you to drop it or not, but add something. I don’t mean to add the words, but bring something to the part. And the [Elizabeth] I did. I said, “Jeez, I don’t have anything to do with that.” She went out of her way.
Santa Clause It is such a classic holiday movie. Is this a movie that you and your family watch during the holidays?
We kind of have to. They always look at me saying, “You don’t have to watch it if you don’t want to!”
I am strange. I’m a stand-up comedian. I still can’t believe I’m in the movies! This is what I do. That’s what I’ve been doing for 35 years, doing shows in Vegas, all over the country. I love doing comedy. I can’t believe I’m in the movies…watching them Galaxy QuestAnd the Every time I watch it I make my own voice. “Here, watch this part! See what I’m saying hereI know what Sam Rockwellwould say. Tony Shalhoub. I know everyone’s actions.
But I love White Christmas Much. I really like White Christmasand the military part of it, and Home Alone. I love this movie…then I watch #1 and mostly #2 [of The Santa Clause] Because there are parts of those movies that are amazing.

Scott is retiring in the series… Is this a character that’s hard to say goodbye to if this is the end?
yes. It looks a lot like mine life. I started putting a lot more into things. Then I think about retirement. My friend Leno says, “I don’t know what, retirement is just another word for death, waiting to die,” and I go, “Why did you say that?” Because sometimes I think about retirement. I go, “I love what I do.” As long as I can do it, I don’t work, so I’m retired now.
