The 2018 science fiction film Ready Player One, based on Ernest Cline’s novel of the same name, gave us a glimpse of what a dystopian future would look like where humanity lives mostly in a virtual reality world. Directed solely by Steven Spielberg, it likely would have given Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg a leg up for his extravagant meta-adventures, which so far have yet to come to fruition. But the one area that could benefit from his union with the metaverse is gaming and esports. New horizons and out-of-the-world simulation experiences could be the next stage in which gaming can be seen.

In essence, it is the circumvention of a physical connection or interaction. Thus, it is clear how games have always been a major contributor to virtual reality and the addictive user experience it provides. And allowing users the ability to connect to multiple virtual worlds, the metaverse will help the gaming industry to design and develop futuristic gaming experiences,” says Sanchala.

Sanchala explains by explaining that when users can move around and interact with digital avatars, this unique technology will help players create their own virtual worlds, characters, tools and weapons that they can transfer to other universes, thus developing USPs from the end user. “This activity will create deeper connections between users and games. Monetization, NFTs and Blockchain technology will revolutionize gaming, thanks to successful runs in the metaverse. NFTs will allow people to exchange game characters within the virtual world and eventually bring risk – A free virtual cash system.
